Alice Lamaro, Master student at CMASLab, participated in SAMPE Europe's 33rd International Students Seminar in Southampton, UK. She represented the Swiss SAMPE Chapter together with a Doctoral Candidate at the Complex Materials group of ETH Zürich. Her poster was awarded with the second prize, allowing her to participate in the Student Leadership Program at SAMPE 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Congratulations for this well deserved award!

Alice Lamaro presented her semester thesis "Investigations on the flexibility of Ultra-Thin Fiber Reinforced Plastics layups for the use in Deployable Structures" which was supervised by CMASLab's Arthur Schlothauer. The first prize in the competition went to a PhD student at the University of Bordeaux. A total of 15 students from 11 different countries presented their theses or PhD research featuring a wide range of topics. After the seminar, the students had the chance to join the SAMPE Europe Conference.
